Life Is Fair?

I never bought into the common belief that ‘Life is unfair.’ Even though I couldn’t pinpoint why, something inside me just didn’t agree. I wasn’t sure why I felt that way, only that I did.

Today, it’s a different story. I’m more convinced than ever that I was right to feel that way. Life is fair, and I now understand why I’ve always believed this.

Initially, I thought the solution was demanding fairness from others. But now, I’ve come to understand that real change starts with my own actions, not merely expectations placed on others. I can’t demand anything from anyone; I can only control my own actions and reactions.

This holds true for fairness as well. While I can hope, ask, or encourage others to be fair, it’s out of my hands. I’ve read countless self-development texts preaching the mantra, ‘start where you are now.’ And it clicked — the journey to fairness begins with the individual.

So, it’s about taking that first step from where we are, rather than getting caught up in blaming the world or drowning in the notion that life is just unfair.
