Much like a fairytale, where the ordinary world is intertwined with the mystical, our perception of loneliness often veers into the realms of illusion.

It is painted with broad, monochromatic strokes that encapsulate us in an enchanted spell of isolation, making us feel lost in a crowd, amidst the digital euphoria of connectivity.

Loneliness — we’ve defined it as the aching for more company or the solitude that haunts us, even amidst a crowd.

Thus, loneliness is a feeling; it lives if you feel it and dissipates if you don’t.

It exists in simplicity, yet complexity surrounds it.

In the era of social media, loneliness wears a peculiar mask. We often hear of people with vast followers feeling desolate. Is it plausible, though? Can one be alone amidst a digital crowd?

Every moment, we are two — ‘me’ and ‘myself’.

We are ever-present, a constant duo.

So why does loneliness still claw at our souls?

A glaring oversight persists in our discourse about loneliness. There’s a silence about the solitude of those who find contentment in their own presence, those who don’t equate aloneness with loneliness.

We cast blame on social media, tagging them as catalysts of loneliness. But is…
